Western Front

In the US 7th Army area, the French II Corps continues toward Dijon, elements reaching positions about halfway between Beaune and Dijon. In the VI Corps area, the 45th Division ovecomes opposition at Baume and drives on toward the Villersexel road junction. The 3rd and 36th Divisions cross the Ognon River. In the French I Corps area, Séez falls to FFI forces. This is an important communications center just southwest of Little St Bernard Pass.
