In the US 5th Army's IV Corps area, the 442nd Infantry, in the 34th Division sector, advances almost to Pastina. The 133rd Infantry bypasses Pastina to the east but is stopped short of Hill 529. Limited progress is made in other sectors of the division's front. The 351st Infantry, 88th Division, is released from the reseve to continue an attack on Laiatico, but is pinned down short of the objective.

In the British 8th Army's XIII Corps area, the New Zealand 2nd Division begins concentrating within the corps zone to assist in the drive on Arezzo.
