The US 5th Army orders an offensive for Colli Laziali by the VI and II Corps. In the VI Corps area, the Germans continue a stout defense of Albano. The 1st Armored Division is withdrawn to reserve. The 34th Division is still stalled by stubborn resistance below Lanuvio. The Germans thin out between Lanuvio and Velletri after nightfall. The 36th Division makes substantial progress on the right flank: the 142nd Infantry takes Maschil d'Ariano and other positions commanding the Velletri-Nemi road; the 143rd Infantry moves forward to monte Artemisio; and the 141st pushes slowly toward Velletri.

The II Corps attacks toward the line of departure for the main offensive, 1 June. The 85th Division, which takes over the left half of the II Corps line leaving the right half for the 3rd Division, attacks with the 337th Infantry on the left and the 338th on the right, securing positions on Monte Artemisio, clearing Lariano, and reaching positions across the Velletri-Artena road. The 88th Division is attached to the II Corps.

The IV Corps sector is taken over by the 4th Mountain Divison, FEC. The FEC extends its positions northward into the Lepini Mountains to Supino and Carpineto.

In the British 8th Army area, the Canadian I Corps finds Frosinone undefended. The X Corps seizes Sora.
