Axis Diplomacy

Hitler 'invites' King Boris of Bulgaria to Germany. The Führer demands that Bulgaria sign the Tripartite Pact, open her borders to allow German troops to attack Greece and take an active part in Axis' military operations. King Boris tries stalling for more time before making the commitment.

The Blitz

The Germans hit Plymouth with a three-hour bombing attack.

Italy, Command

Gen Ugo Cavallero, Chief of the Italian General Staff, relieves Gen Ubaldo Soddu of command in Albania. This move marks the beginning of the Axis counteroffensive.
