21st ARMY GROUP
Canadian 1st Army

The II Corps is rapidly clearing south Beveland and completing the reduction of the Breskens Pocket. The 52nd Division and the Canadian 2nd Division establish contact on south Beveland and the 52nd Division takes Goes.

The British I Corps, upon reaching the Bergen-op-Zoom-Tilburg road, is directed northward to secure crossings of the Mark River. Breda falls to the Polish 1st Armored Division.

British 2nd Army

In the VIII Corps area, the Germans attack in force from Meijel toward Liesel and Asten, taking Liesel from CCB, 7th Armored Division, and pushing CCR units back about halfway up the road to Asten. During the night, the 15th Division (which has completed its mission with the XII Corps) and a tank brigade are sent to reinforce the corps. The 15th Division relieves CCB near Liesel and CCR southeast of Asten. The US 7th Armored Division, upon relief, concentrates about Nederweert and Weert.

12th ARMY GROUP
US 3rd Army

In the XX Corps area, 3 companies of the 357th Infantry, 90th Division, omitting an artillery preparation, attack from the factory area at Maizières-lès-Metz into a section south of Hôtel de Ville. 2 others attack from the north. Most of the town is cleard by dark.

6th ARMY GROUP
US 7th Army

In the VI Corps area, the 45th Division moves into Bru and Jeanménil, which the enemy has successfully defended for the past month, without opposition. The drive on Raon-l'Etape continues to the right. The 3rd Division improves its positions near St Dié. In the 36th Division's zone, the 442nd Infantry pushes closer to the isolated 1st Battalion of the 141st Infantry in the Forêt Domaniale de Champ.
