Western Front

In the US 7th Army's French II Corps area, Gen de Lattre directs the corps to turn east and advance to the left of the I Corps. The 1st Infantry Division is to relieve the US 45th Division. In the VI Corps area, the 36th Division pushes from Vesoul toward Luxeuil while the 3rd Division drives on Lure. The 45th Division is virtually halted along the line l'Isle-sur-Doubs-Villersexel.
