In the US 7th Army's French II Corps area, Langres falls to the 1st Armored Division. In the VI Corps area, the Germans surrender Vesoul, which is on the last enemy escape route to Belfort in the US zone. The 45th Division overruns Villersexel. The corps takes more than 1,300 prisoners during this day.
