Western Front

In the US 7th Army's French II Corps area, the 1st Armored Division is driving on Langres as the infantry maintains a defensive line. In the VI Corps area, the 36th and 3rd Divisions are investing Vesoul, where the Germans are expected to make a stand in order to hold this last escape route to Belfort. The 45th Division continues to drive on Villersexel, clearing Rougemont. The 36th Division makes contact with the French II Corps at Pont-sur-Saône.
