In the US 5th Army area, the II Corps takes over the sector of the 88th Division on the right flank of the army, previously the right flank of the IV Corps. The 88th Division finishes clearing its zone below the Arno and releases TF Ramey.

In the British 8th Army area, the XIII Corps continues its drive on Florence, reaching the next delaying line, extending through San Casciano, in the zones of the New Zealand 2nd Infantry and the South African 6th Armored Divisions.
