The US 5th Army begins regrouping along the Arno. The Army sets a new boundary between the IV and II Corps, the IV on the west, but the II Corps troops within the current IV Corps zone are to remain under operational control of the IV Corps until the new boundary becomes effective, on or about 25 July. The Army will direct the relief of the infantry divisions of the IV Corps.
