The US 28th Division arrives on the Continent.

Air preparation for Operation COBRA is begun, but weather conditions are so unfavorable that the attack is postponed. A minor alteration of the interarmy boundary becomes effective as the British XXX Corps extends to the west to take command of part the the US 5th Division zone on the left flank of the US V Corps. The 15th Scottish Division moves into that area.
