Western Front - Battle For Caen

Battle Group Luck makes its final attack. It was to re-take St Honorine. The 4th Tank Company is to lead the advance. German artillery opens up first as the British artillery replies along with salvoes of battleships, monitors and cruiser just offshore. The infantry goes for cover while the Mark IVs move ahead to meet the Shermans. Without infantry there could be no breakthrough. The 4th Company retires being just 7 tanks strong. For the Germans, fighting continually since D-Day, there had been no replacements of any kind.
