The British V Corps continues north along the Adriatic coast, the Carpathian 3rd Division replacing the Indian 4th Division in the line.

In the US 5th Army area, the VI Corps headquarters is assigned to the US 7th Army for Operations ANVIL. The IV Corps reaches the Ombrone River line and send patrols into Grosseto and begins crossing the river after dark.

In the British 8th Army area, the XIII Corps overcomes rear-guard opposition at Ficulle and Allerona. In the X Corps area, pursuit of the Germans toward Perugia is continued beyond Todi after the bridge is completed in Terni.
