- U-96 sinks the British steamer Black Osprey (5589t), a straggler behind Convoy HX-107, 130 miles south of Iceland. 26 of her crew are lost, 11 survivors are picked up by the Norwegian steamer Mosdale.
- U-103 sinks the British steamer Seaforth (5459t) south of Iceland with the loss of all 59 of her crew.
