  • The Italian submarine Torelli sinks the British steamer Urla (5198t), a straggler from Convoy HX-102. The entire crew is rescued.
  • German bombing sinks the British steamer Pandion (1944t) and the Grelrosa (4574t) with the loss of 5 of her crew.

  • The British submarine Rorqual lays mines off the Adriatic coast port of Ancona.
  • The German steamer Kate sinks on a mine (5197t) in Greek waters.
