US Paratroopers Land In Northern Luzon – The 11th A/B Division made their air-borne landing near Aparri on June 23rd, using their gliders for the first time, carrying howitzers, jeeps and mobile equipment. Each trooper jumped with 100 pounds of gear strapped to his body.
