Australian Commander Entertaining the Sultan
Brunei, North Borneo. June 17, 1945. Brig W J V Windeyer, Commanding 20 Infantry Bde (2) entertaining the Sultan of Brunei (1) and his wife (3) in the grounds of the unit headquarters. The Sultan and his wife have just returned from the village of Tentayer which they fled to during the bombing of Brunei. Identified personnel are:- Capt M G Worthley (4); Wing Commander K E H Kay, RAF, British Borneo Civil Affairs Unit (5); Maj A J HILL, Brig Major (6); Capt E Tait-Wills (7); Capt D Glasgow (8); Capt H H Main (9).
