Eastern Front

NORTHERN SECTOR

The surrender of Army Group Kurland continues, just a few bands continuing to resist.

CENTRAL SECTOR

In the Vistula delta and the Baltic Spit the Germans begin to surrender. The 2nd Baltic Front lands men on Bornholm Island and takes 12,000 prisoners as the Germans give up.

Tanks of the 3rd and 4th Guards Tank Armies enter Prague, isolating the bulk of the 17th Army and 1st Panzer Army to the east. Elements of the 2nd Ukrainian Front approach from the south, having virtually destroyed the 8th Army. On the northern wing Gorlitz is attacke by the 52nd Army.

SOUTHERN SECTOR

Army Group South is isolated in Austria following the destruction of the 8th Army while Army Group E struggles on in Slovenia. The large-scale surrender of the German forces in the south begins.
