Eastern Front

The fighting around Konigsberg intensifies as the 11th Guards pushes into the city and the 43rd Army widens the hole it has ripped in the German front. The 39th Army has pinned the 5th Panzer Division down in Samland, preventing it from offering any aid to the city.

The 4th Guards and 6th Guards Tank Armies penetrate deep into Vienna but fierce battles slow their advance. While the bulk of the 6th SS Panzer Army fights inside Vienna, other units are pushed back to the west by the 9th Guards Army as it closes upon St Polten.
