A Lancaster of No 617 Squadron over the railway bridge at Arbergen as bombs explode on the target. The lack of defensive gun turrets on this aircraft mark it out as a B1 (Special), one of a number specially modified for the squadron to carry outsize bombs such as 22,000-lb Grand Slams.
