German Civilians Cooking a Meal
German civilians displaced by the Allied bombing of Rees cook a meal outdoors following the British and Canadian capture of their city. The city was almost completely destroyed by an Allied air raid on February 16, 1945 and fell into Allied hands after fierce resistance from German forces by the end of March 1945.
