In the Canadian II Corps area, Moyland, on the road to Calcar, falls to the Canadian 2nd Division.

In the III Corps area, the 82nd Airborne Division clears the corps' sector.

In the V Corps area, the 2nd Ranger Battalion is attached to the 102nd Cavalry Group.

In the VIII Corps area, enemy resistance to the corps disintegrates. On the 90th Division's northern flank, the 359th Infantry clears its zone and patrols to the Prüm at Lunebach. The 357th quickly overruns Litchenborn while the 358th, reinforced by the newly formed TF Spiess, takes Arzfeld, Holzche, and the heights extending from southwest of Heckeshausen to the southeast of Neurath. The 11th Armored Division gains its final objectives: CCR clears Eschfeld and Reiff; CCB, after attacking through Eschfeld after its capture, pushes to the division's southern boundary, where contact is made with the 6th Armored Division. CCB, 6th Armored Division, takes Irrhausen and Olmscheid. Elements of CCA cross the Our and relieve units of CCB within Dasburg, then drive southward along the east bank, taking Preischeid and Affler. West of the Our, the 15th Tank Battalion, after supporting the crossings, moves southward and captures Ober Eisenbach, completing the reduction of West Wall positions within the division's zone. The 6th Cavalry Group crosses the rest of the 28th Squadron over the Our at Vianden, where a Bailey bridge is completed, and makes contact with the 80th Division (XII Corps) at Obersgegen.

The XII Corps consolidates positions and begins regrouping. The 80th Division's 318th Infantry mops up near Mettendorf and drives toward Nieder Geckler and Sinspelt. The 319th clears Geichlingen. Under command of the 80th Division, CCB of the 4th Armored Division begins an attack through the 319th Infantry about midnight the night of the 22nd. The 53rd Armored Infantry Battalion reverts to CCB from its attachment to the 319th Infantry. The 5th Division's 2nd Infantry relieves elements of the 317th Infantry, 80th Division, as the 5th Division's boundary is moved northward. In the 76th Division's zone, the 304th Infantry is relieved of its positions along the Sauer between Steinheim to Grevenmacher.

In the XX Corps area, the 10th Armored Division clears the rest of the Saar-Moselle triangle. Attempting to secure a bridgehead across the Saar near Ockfen, the attached 376th RCT of the 94th Division is prevented from crossing before dawn by lack of assault boats and in the afternoon by heavy enemy fire, but succeeds in crossing during the night of the 22nd. To the south, the 94th Division begins crossing the 302nd and 301st Regiments in assault boats in the Staadt-Taben region in the morning and partly clears Serrig against determined resistance. Elements of TF Polk and the attached 5th Ranger Battalion clear the region between the old and new northern boundaries.

In the XV Corps area, the 276th Infantry of the 70th Division gains control of two-thirds of Forbach while other elements of the division are clearing the objective heights below Saarbrücken.

In the VI Corps area, the new boundary between the US 7th and the French 1st Armies becomes effective at 2300 upon relief of the 143rd RCT, 36th Division, by elements of the Algerian 3rd Division, French II Corps. The CG of the Algerian 3rd Division takes responsibility for the sector east of Easting.
