21st ARMY GROUP
Canadian 1st Army

In the British XXX Corps area, the Canadian 3rd Division takes a village on the Rhine opposited Emmerich. The 15th Division is bitterly opposed as it attempts to reach Moyland from Hasselt on the road to Calcar. The 43rd Division withstands strong pressure in the vicinity of the Cleve Forest. The 53rd Division fights for the high ground north of Asperberg, making slow progress. The 51st Division overruns Kessel in a night attack during the night of the 14th. It is reinforced by the 32nd Guards Brigade of the Guards Armored Division which takes Hommersum.

12th ARMY GROUP
US 3rd Army

The XII Corps has firm control of the bridgehead through the West Wall and is consolidating it and preparing for its drive to the Pruem River. The 80th Division improves its positions in the northern portion of the bridgehead. The 317th Infantry crosses the river and begins clearing the Germans from the Bollendorf area. The 5th Division's 10th Infantry expands the bridgehead northward toward Schankweiler. The 11th Infantry takes Ernzen. On the southern flank of the bridgehead, ther 417th Infantry of the 76th Division takes hill positions, reduces pillboxes, and helps the 5th Division capture Ernzen.

French 1st Army

The US XXI Corps releases the 28th Division to the control of the US 7th Army.
