21st ARMY GROUP
British 2nd Army

In the XII Corps area, the 52nd Division clears the villages of Hontem and Selsent, then moves into Braunsrath without opposition. The 43rd Division finds Schierwaldenrath clear.

12th ARMY GROUP
US 1st Army

In the VII Corps area, the 84th Division takes over the former 83rd Division-3rd Armored Division sector and prepares to attack toward the Gouvy-Beho region, between Houffalize and St Vith. Patrols find Rogery free of Germans.

In the XVIII (Airborne) Corps area, the 75th Division clears the rest of the Grand Bois. The 7th Armored Division overcomes house-to-house opposition in Born. The 508th Parachute RCT takes over the Deidenberg-Eibertingen area.

In the V Corps area, the 1st Division meets stiff opposition as it attempts to improve its positions northeast of Schoppen, establishes outposts and sends patrols through the Bambusch woods in the region south of Schoppen.

US 3rd Army

In the VIII Corps area, a shift in corps boundaries puts the Bois de Rouvroy, northeast of Buret, within the corps' zone and transfers Bastogne to the jurisdiction of the III Corps. New boundaries run on the north through Laroche and Ourthe to Thommen and on the south through Neufchâteau, Bastogne, and Holdingen to Thommen. Elements of CCA, 11th Armored Division, reach Buret. The 17th Airborne Division continues to advance northeast of Tavigny.

The III Corps advance to the northeast gains momentum. The 6th Armored Division clears Crendal, Troine, Baraques de Troine, Lullange, Hoffelt, and Hachiville. The 90th Division's 358th Infantry takes Derenbach, Hill 480, and Boevange-les-Clervaux. The 359th secures Hill 520, Hamiville, and Wincrange. Some 26th Division units cross the Wiltz River in the vicinity of Winseler and clear Noertrange and Bruhl. Others, in conjunction with the 6th Cavalry Group, enter Wiltz and mop up pockets of resistance.

In the XII Corps area, the 4th Division captures Longsdorf but is unable to take Fuhren. The 5th Division secures Landscheid and Lipperscheid. Renewing its offensive the 80th Division's 318th Infantry takes Bourscheid and Welscheid and the woods between those and the Sauer. The 317th Infantry is unable to get units across the river to the north of Bourscheid but takes Kahmen.

In the XX Corps area, the 94th Division halts the attack on Orscholz because of heavy casualties to the 1st Battalion, 301st Infantry. The 302nd Infantry holds Tettingen and Nennig against a strong counterattack.

6th ARMY GROUP
US 7th Army

In the XV Corps area, CCB of the 10th Armored Division closes in the area northeast of Fenétrange.

In the VI Corps area, the main body of the corps completes its withdrawal to a new main line of resistance, along the line Althorn-Rothbach-Niedermodern-Haguenau-Bischwiller. The 79th Division's outpost line in the Camp d'Oberhoffen area is pushed back by the enemy.
