In the XXX Corps area, the 53rd Division assumes responsibility for the Marche-Hotton sector (Belgium), relieving the US 84th Division. The boundary between the XXX Corps and the US VII Corps is adjusted.

In the VIII Corps area, Gerimont falls to the 87th Division; Mande St Etienne to the 11th Armored Division; and Senonchamps to CCB, 10th Armored Division (attached to the 101st Airborne), and CCA, 9th Armored Division. The 4th Armored Division protects and enlarges the corridor leading into Bastogne from the south and helps the III Corps clear the woods near Lutrebois.

In the III Corps area, the 6th Armored Division's CCB enters Oubourcy and Michamps but is driven out of the latter, and unsuccessfully attacks Arloncourt. CCA takes Wardin as the division withdraws to the high ground west of Michamps-Arloncourt-Wardin for the night. The 35th Division continues its fight for Lutrebois. The 28th Cavalry Squadron of TF Pickett (6th Cavalry Group) is committed between the 134th and 137th Regiments, 35th Division. The 26th Division's 101st Infantry advances northward in the area southwest of Wiltz.

The US 7th Army CP is moved from Saverne to Lunéville.

In the XV Corps area, enemy pressure forces the 44th Division's right flank back past Gros Réderching and causes the 100th Division's right flank to fall back farther.

In the VI Corps area, the Germans maintain pressure against the reinforced 45th Division, particularly on its west flank, the former zone of TF Hudelson. Fighting occurs at various points along the Bitche salient. TF Herren's 276th Infantry takes up switch positions in the Wingen-Wimmenau-Rostieg area. CCA, 14th Armored Division, organizes outposts at the Vosges exits around Bouxwiller. The center and right flank units of the corps begin a withdrawal to prepared positions on the Maginot Line. The 79th Division takes over the southern portion of the Rhine River line held by TF Linden (42nd Division).
