Leyte, Philippines. December 14, 1944. Col John Herbert Rasmussen, Director General of Australian Army Public Relations (left) conferring with Maj John Paarman, Australian Army Public Relations Liaison officer with General Headquarters, behind the fence of 'Australia House', where Australian war correspondents covering the Philippines campaign are quartered. Col Rasmussen accompanied Gen Sir Thomas Blamey on his visit to the Philippines where the General discussed with Gen MacArthur future operations involving use of Australian troops
