The II Corps continues to eliminate scattered strongpoints south of the Maas. The Polish 1st Armored Division, assisted by elements of the US 104th Division, begins an attack on Moerdijk, on the enemy's escape route. The main body of the 104th starts to Aachen.

The US 7th Armored Division is ordered to return to the 12th Army Group in preparation for the offensive. The 15th Division continues limited action north of Meijel.

In the VII Corps area, the 4th Division, moving from the V Corps zone to the Zweifall area, is ordered to release the 12th Infantry, which, under command of the 28th Division, V Corps, is to begin the relief of the elements of the 28th Division at once.

In the V Corps area, the 28th Division repels further attacks against Kommerscheidt but is forced from the east end of Vossenack. Relief of the 109th Infantry by the 12th Infantry of the 4th Division cannot be accomplishied during the night as planned. An attack on Schmidt by TF R is postponed.
