In the Canadian II Corps area, a land approach to the Breskens Pocket from the west is secured by the Canadian 3rd Division at Isabella, a tip of the Savojaards Plaat.

In the VII Corps area, the 26th Infantry of the 1st Division continues to make slow progress in Aachen and on Observatory Hill. The 9th Division commits elements of the 47th Infantry to insure the safety of Road Junction 471 in the Huertgen Forest.

In the II Corps area, the Algerian 3rd Division finishes clearing the Forêt de Gehand and takes Cornimont, but by this time is so weakened that the offensive is broken off.
