Bombing Rail Yards at Ghent, Belgium
122 Royal Canadian Air force Halifax’s dropped 600 tons of bombs on the Merelbeke-Melle rail yards at Ghent, Belgium. Unfortunately, the rail yards being located in a built-up area, 438 Belgian civilians were killed.
