Douglas-Tulsa B-24H-10-DT Liberator 41-28678 taking off from RAF Horsham St. Faith, England. Aircraft was lost due to mechanical failure on March 22, 1944 mission to bomb the BMW engine factory at Basdorf outside Berlin, Germany. Eight of the crew became POW's and one was killed because he didn't have the right type of harness for his parachute and went down with the plane.
