Unloading in Tobruk

Unloading in Tobruk
Two-gallon cans of water are unloaded from flat-bottomed landing boats in Tobruk, Libya on March 14, 1943, used for carrying tanks, and pack them on a truck destined to supply Gen. Bernard L. Montgomery's British 8th Army during the Libyan offensive. The British navy cooperated closely with the Army to make the campaign a success. (AP Photo/Weston Haynes)
