The Army Headquarters in Charleville on May 24, 1940
On May 24 Hitler flies from Flugplatz Odendorf (near the Felsennest in Rodert) to Charleville to meet Von Rundstedt, the leader of Army Group A. From here the German troops in Dunkirk got the order to stop fighting. On 2 June Hitler was in Charleville again for another meeting with Von Rundstedt. Rommel was also there.
